Its been 10 months since I've posted....

Holy cow how much life has changed since I last posted!! I was reading through old blogs and cannot believe what I have been through in such a short amount of time...

To start, Connor is now 17 months old! He is nearly 17lbs and has been through a whirl wind in the past 6 months. He got RSV really bad not to long ago and ended up being diagnosed with failure to thrive. He lost all muscle memory with eating and had to be put on an NG tube; a tube that goes through his nose to his stomach to feed him through. He had a G tube placed; a tube that was surgicaly placed on his stomach directly feeding him, on July 12th. Other than that he is doing amazing! He can sit all by himself and is trying to get around other ways, just not crawling yet! He entertains himself all day with toys. He especially likes banging them together. He is still the light of my life!! His second walk for down syndrome is in a few weeks and we have over 500 dollars in donations for his team already! We also ordered T-shirts again this year and sold over 70!! Pretty amazing to see the support he has within the family and outside of the family! Even people who have never met him support him! Overall Connor is doing great and we finally found him a DADDY!

Jeff Chesleigh is the man of my dreams! Him and I were recently engaged this May. We are currently planning our wedding that will be held at Noah's in Chandler next May! I cannot wait to be Mrs. Chesleigh and for Connor to be adopted by him to become a complete family! Jeff is a firefighter for rural metro fire department and is going to basic training for the Army National Guard in september! Not very excited to loose him for a few months, but I know I can get a lot of things done around the house, hopefully it will all go by very fast!

Life has had its ups and downs, but overall everything is finally kinda going my way and things are looking waaay up!!!

Its been forever!

So it has been forever since I got on here!

New info...

Lets start with Connor man! He is 7 months old now!!! He is nearly 11 lbs and doing amazing! He got a new green bay packers jersey to wear on sundays as well as a cardinals one! He supports both his home town and Grandpas! :) He has discovered his feet! Its so adorable when he pulls his legs all the way up to his face and sucks his toes! Its amazing to me how babies can get away with stuff like that and how flexible they are! Overall he is doing amazing and growing well!

Next, the love life....This subject is a little touchy. I am currently talking to a guy names Taylor. Obviously Dan and I are no more, which sucks but it wasn't meant to be! Taylor is pretty awesome. He lives about 30 min away which sucks but he treats me well so far. He is a tough shell to crack though, which I am not used to so I'm working out the kinks in my head to deal with the change (which is not a bad thing!) Im hoping things with him continue and that we become official soon!

The job! I love working for Marc Center so far! I have so much fun with the individuals and staff! Im in a position called registry right now where I got to all the day services programs whenever they need coverage. I really like it because Im making great money and not having to do the same thing all the time! We have some pretty awesome clients and I finally love what I do once again! Although the salon thing is kinda taking a turn for the worst. I haven't had much apts and stuff lately. My heart I think is just else where right now. I really wanna focus on my new job and finding the man I want to marry some day! I need to get better at scheduling apts though!

Overall life isn't to shabby. I wish I had a very steady relationship with someone. On a more positive note, my cousin and I are going to start looking for places to live in November. We both wanna get out of our parents houses and its always good to live with someone your related to cuz at the end of the day, you will always love them! Welp thats it for now!

Life....and its ups and downs

So, this weekend we found out Sarah and Ryan most likely are having a baby GIRL! Im so excited! I cant wait to buy girly things and not have to take care of her lol! They are going to be AMAZING parents! Her name will most likely be Brynlee Madison Lopez (i think thats how its spelled) and shes gunna be a cutie for sure!!! Today was a pool/laundry day! Not a bad way to spend a Sunday! I did 5 loads of laundry! That included Connors of course! Now him and I are hanging out watching Scooby Doo! I love being able to watch cartoons... Since Dan and I live so far apart, seeing eachother hasnt been very easy. Its kinda taking a toll on me. When I see him we have so much fun together and I love being around him. Missing him isnt to much fun.... Hopefully things will get better!

Connor has his post op appointment on Tuesday! They will take off all the bandages and reveal his scar! Ill post a picture whenever I get it!

Until next time.....

The hospital/surgery story....

So 9 weeks ago Connor had a perforated bowel. so for the last 2 months he has had to have a colostomy bag (NO FUN!). It was a lot of work to take care of but luckily on August 19Th 2010 he had the surgery to repair the intestines back together. Connor was in surgery for 3 hours total. We got there at 10:45am and waited a few hours for them to take him back to the O.R. but at 1:15pm they walked him back. He was back there until about 4:00pm. When I first saw him I was so happy. He was awake but not opening his eyes because he was still pretty out of it from the anesthesia. They let me hold him right away and strolled us together to his room #708 in the Pediatric Unit of Cardon Childrens Medical. Its been 2 days since his surgery and he is doing fantastic! He in getting very little fluids from the iv and holding all his meals down. They said most likely if he continues doing great we will go home tomorrow. This was probably the easiest hospital stay we have had....(this was his 5th stay total)....Im really excited to start having a normal life with a healthy baby again. I just know he is going to flourish and grow! He is my little fighter and life just wouldnt be the same without him! :)

First week of school!

So I work at a school call The Aces! I think I wrote about it in a previous post. Well this last week was our first week of school. All the kids are really nice but its pretty obvious why they're there. Our class roster is; Carlos, Joey, Jordan, Richard, Johntaveon, Chancellor, Jacob, Sayeed, and Markell. Joey is one of the worst behavior kids in the school. He is 12 years old and weighs close to 300 lbs. Its funny though, cuz he is very intelligent and very sweet at times. He needs to constantly be stimulated. Over all I really like the atmosphere and all the staff!

Tonight we are going out for our friend Veronicas birthday! Im really excited to get out of the house for a yummy dinner with a lot of really cool people! Dan will get to meet more of my friends!

On the Dan note...he found out this week there was a leak in his wall causing mold in his condo. Soooooo needless to say, he is staying at my parents house while the repairs are being done! Its been fun having him around all the time!

Ill be lookin stylish on my first day as a Teacher Assistant! I learned some pretty cool stuff this past week about how to put kids in harmless restraints and therapeutic holds. We care for some pretty out of sorts kids but im really excited!!!! Life is going pretty good right now :) no complaints here!

I need to vent!!

This day started out pretty crappy....Connor was throwing up all night for Sarah and Ryan and when I got him this morning he was still throwing up and it was yellowish green. Which means bile. Which is very bad. So I took him to the emergency room at Cardon Childrens Medical Center and the started him on iv, took a bunch of blood, and took x rays, which might I add they had to wake him up 3 times to take the x rays and it was a pain to get him to relax again. Then he threw up again and again....needless to say, im currently sitting in the hospital room and they had to put a tube down his nose to his stomach to drain it. He is miserable and they dont know whats wrong yet. My little man is for sure a fighter but sometimes I just dont understand why he cant catch a freakin break. He isnt even 5 months old and has been in the hospital more times then I have in my entire life. He is so helpless and cant exactly tell people whats hurting him. I hate seeing him in pain and I wish more then anything it was me that was laying in thay bed, not him. Dan is being so supportive and keeping me happiest as I can muster up to be. The rest of my family is being awesome as always but I have to admit its nice to have a man to help keep my head up and stay strong...I have fallen in love with him and cant wait to see our future grow....Connor will make it through this and be strong before I know it....
